The shiny glamorous eye makeup is the focus of any makeup. If you want a perfect eye makeup, you should start from the eyelashes. Using mascara is a good start to enhance your eyelashes.  Mascara used to make your eyelashes appear longer, thicker and fuller, and at the same time give your eyes to look larger and wider. Mascara are usually formulated with specific oils, waxes, pigments and preservatives.


Mascara Ingredients:
Black mascara: Carbon black is the main form of pigmentation.
Brown mascara : Manufacturers may use iron oxides (with each brand relying on its own version of iron oxide.)
In some mascaras, an additional pigment of ultramarine blue is also used.

Mineral oils can be found in many formulations. Those mineral oils usually are sesame oil, turpentine oil, lanolin, eucalyptus oil, castor oil, and linseed oil.






For the waxes in mascara, manufacturers generally use beeswax, carnauba wax, or paraffin.








There are two major types of mascara in the market, which are water-resistant and the non water-resistant type. The water-resistant mascaras usually have substances that rebuff water. The non water-resistant mascaras have ingredients which has a property of water-soluable.
For the mascaras that designed to curl or lengthen the eyelashes may contains nylon or rayon microfibers. The mascaras contains ceresin, gum tragacanth, and methyl cellulose to act as stiffeners.

Mascara is a cosmetics product, it is regulated by the FDA. You should carefully select the mascara in how the product was made, stored, packaged, delivered and used to assure your safety.  Mascaras should be discarded after three months opened. If the color changes or smell, you should not to use it and discard immediately for your health safety.
